AGRI is inspired by the nature of flowers and its delicacy. Flowers are responsible for the production of the fruits we eat today. In architectural term, flowers are the manufacturing structures that produces edible goods for the food citizens. Therefore, the new hall of democracy, AGRI is likened to a flower. Australia is one of the major food-supplying countries. AGRI will play an important role in promoting better food-rights, setting as an example to the world. AGRI aims to emphasise on the importance of having the accessibility to healthy food. The activities that take place in AGRI are likened to the ‘fertilisation’ process in the ovary of the flower. The government, the food supplier and the food consumers will play equal roles in addressing the food democracy, the basic human-right.
Through sections, the undulating spatial variation can be seen. Different openness and space height bring visitors a rich visual and spatial experience.
Cloris, who will get the bachelor degree at QUT, is enthusiastic about architecture and its logical thinking process. She is concerned about the impact of architecture on the environment and people's well-being. The second major is interior design. She is interested in a variety of visual expressions, such as hand drawings, rendering, model making and photography.
