Architecture - Honours
The Hall of New Democracy strives to create a modern democratic system of governing, instigated by values of equality and inclusion. The structure, in its built and natural form, will act as a symbolic and material beacon for the transparency and illuminance of a modern society, embodying catalysing spatial qualities for stimulation and intelligent contribution. This project aims to unify the surrounding community and greater city and suburban areas of Brisbane, creating an equitable structural for intellectual civilian congregation and meaningful, educated participation.
Jonas's passion for design extends through architecture to the diverse realm of landscape architecture, where he has completed his second major, allowing his projects to explore the symbiotic relationship between built and natural environment. His projects throughout his honours degree at the Queensland University of Technology strive to celebrate traditional Australian architecture and engage with contemporary systems and sustainable applications.
